1. What is this mashup trying to communicate? Is it technical experiment, social or political commentary, a comedic parody, or an abstract work of media art?
This mashup is trying to communicate with us by showing us that they were singing because they were trying to get a spot in something. I think that this is a technical experiment because they were experimenting with two songs to mash them up into one.
2. Did its creator follow or break copyright laws in its production?
The creator did not break copyright laws in this production. They did use to different songs that belong to other artists but instead they used their own voices and just used the lyrics and beat. Doing this didn't break the copyright laws.
3. Do you think that mashup like this requires copyright permission? Why or why not.
I don't think that this requires copyright permission because they are not using the actual songs being sung by the artists but instead they are singing which makes it different than just putting the two original songs together.
